Nestled in the heart of Sonoma Valley, Viansa Winery stands as a beacon of romance and unforgettable memories. It was here, amidst rolling vineyards under the soft hues of the cloud cover, that Tim decided to embark on a new chapter with Genesis. This touching moment was not only a celebration of love but also a testament to careful planning and the magic of surprise. Tim did good!
Viansa Winery, known for its scenic beauty and luxurious ambiance, was the perfect backdrop for this life-changing event. With the help of Lisa, their incredibly hospitable event coordinator at Viansa, Tim was able to plan the perfect surprise. The winery's picturesque landscape, combined with its reputation for exquisite wines, set the stage for a proposal that was nothing short of breathtaking.
As a professional photographer specializing in capturing such significant moments, I had the unique privilege of witnessing their love story unfold. I blended into the surroundings at a picnic table, ready to capture the surprise. Despite my visible presence, Genesis was completely unaware, lost in what she later described as "tunnel vision," her focus fixed entirely on Tim as they walked hand in hand.
The air was filled with anticipation as they approached the designated spot. Tim’s heart raced as he reached into his pocket, his intentions hidden just moments longer. As he got down on one knee, the world seemed to stand still. Genesis's reaction was a profound mix of shock, joy, and overwhelming love—emotions that I captured through my lens, preserving them for eternity. The joyous occasion was marked by cheers from onlookers and the clinking of wine glasses, celebrating the new fiancés.
After taking a few minutes to let the reality of what just happened sink in, we walked around the gorgeous property taking portraits of the newly engaged! Every inch of this property is perfectly manicured and surrounded by breathtaking views! The photographic scenes are endless!
We made our best attempt to get some romantic shots, but trying to get a soft subtle smile was nearly impossible! Tim and Genesis both kept smiling from ear to ear! The joy the felt was contagious!
When we were all done with portraits, Lisa met up with us and guided the Newley engaged couple to their private tasting in an outlook decorated just for them! They had a tasting of some of Viana's best wines a bottle of bubbles and charcuterie board all ready for them! When booking with Lisa make sure to ask about the different options.
For future grooms planning their own surprise proposal, my tip is straightforward: communication is key. Work closely with your photographer and the venue’s coordinator to ensure that every detail is perfect. Discuss the plan thoroughly, from the exact spot for the proposal to the best angles for photos. A good photographer will not only capture the moment but also help you feel at ease, ensuring that both you and your partner enjoy every second of this special day without any stress. This is my number 1 goal! After capturing the moment of course.
